FPC SanctuarySanctuary.  Used for worship on  Sundays between  9 am and 1 pm and Christmas Eve.

Rev. Frank Hoffman Memorial Library

Library. Adult Forum meets 9 am - 1 pm on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month and Stewardship after 5 pm on the 2nd Tuesday of the  month. 

Johnstone Hall

Johnstone  Hall.  Session regularly meets in Johnstone Hall at 7 pm on  the 2nd Tuesday of the month.  (This room is not handicapped accessible.) 

Buchanan RoomBuchanan Room. This is adjacent to the Nursery and is unavailable on Sunday morning from 9 am to 1 pm.

Hodge HallHodge Hall.  The congregation gathers here each Sunday after worship for  fellowship and coffee until 1 pm.  Choir also uses this space on Wednesdays at 7:30 pm. 

Donaldson RoomDonaldson Room. (This room is not handicapped accessible.)

 

 

 

 


     Accessibility via Sanctuary access ramp at street level.  Restrooms are also accessible.

 

Policy Highlights 

As part of its mission, First Presbyterian Church, Hartford (FPC) makes its building available for use by groups affiliated with FPC, the arts community, neighborhood, and other community groups whose purpose and values are consistent with the church.  

Non-profit neighborhood or community groups, self help and 12 step groups are encouraged to use the facilities to the extent that the mission and values of these groups are consistent with FPC’s interest in meeting human needs, in the self development of people, and in justice and community building.  

Any group using the building may be required to pay a fee for security, utility use, janitor and maintenance services created by their use of the building.  All requests to use the building are subject to review.  Please note:

  • No smoking.

  • No alcoholic beverages.

  • No illegal drugs.

  • No firearms except for those carried by on duty law enforcement personnel. 

  • No activity that is degrading to any group of people.

Events planned by the church and any of its boards, committees, task forces or other affiliated organizations shall always have access to and first priority for use of the building. 

Permission to use the church building does not imply this church's endorsement of that group or its particular stands on particular issues. 

Groups whose primary purpose conflicts with the policies of this church or groups that advocate violence or hatred toward any group will not be allowed to use the building,

Parking

The church parking lot (18 spaces) is available after 5 pm weekdays, all day Saturday and Sunday afternoon.  There is very limited availability between 9 am and 5 pm Monday- Friday, no parking on Sunday morning, Wednesday evening September - June, and during other church events.  

Metered street parking is on a first come basis.

Several large, adjacent State Parking Lots are available and free of charge after 5 pm weekdays and all day/evening on weekends.
