Sharing Your Gift

Q.  Do you have an interest in working with community action?

 A.  The Outreach Committee oversees and coordinates church benevolences and contact with community organizations such as Hands On Hartford, ICEJ and Presbyterian Promise.   See Shirley Dudley.

Q.  Or are you more into the inner workings of church life?

A.  The Parish Life Committee (and its subcommittees the Worship Team and the Team for Advancing Multiculturalism) is responsible for Church School, Adult Forum and the Church Library. It is also responsible for looking after fellowship and cultural events, coffee hour, meals, worship, music, deacons' concerns, visitations, membership status.   See Lois Maxwell, Jane Murray, Keith Rhoden, Jr. or Ed Carty.

Q. What about leadership of the church?

A. Then the Nominating Committee is the one that can best put your insight, knowledge, and suggestions to good use.  See Mildred McNeill.

Q.  How about your interpersonal and management skills?

 A. Reviewing and updating position descriptions, salaries, and performance (including any disputes) are the responsibility of Personnel Committee.   See Holly Billings.

Q. Do you have a head for numbers or enjoy fundraising?

 A.  Church Administration members work with the church budget and investments, oversee church property and run the Annual Stewardship Campaign.  See Rusty Spears.

Church committees are great ways to share, a little or a lot. Contact the church office today and we'll put you in touch.....or speak with any of the contacts listed (or any elder or deacon) to find out how you can put your talent to use!
