Rev. Katherine Taylor leads a Monday Prayer Group from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at First Presbyterian Church, 136 Capitol Avenue, Hartford (next to the Bushnell Theater).   Anyone interested in taking a “time out” for scripture-based prayer during the lunch hour is encouraged to attend.

During the first week of every month, The Prayer Place celebrates “Seven Days of Blessings” between 6:30 and 7: 30 pm.  Various activities, from reading to writing to singing and art making, are explored as a means of prayer during this time.  The Prayer Place is located at 112 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield, CT.

Rev. Taylor began The Prayer Place in December of 2001 as a way to foster inner healing.  It is open regularly for prayer on Monday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 pm and again on Wednesday evenings for teaching (same hours).   E-mail Rev. Taylor.

Taylor is a 2006 graduate of Hartford Seminary.  She strongly believes that prayer is not only a means of connection with God, but that it is the thread that holds together the fabric of one’s life.   She grew up in Hartford and graduated from Hartford Public High School.

The prayer group meets Mondays from 12:30 - 1:30 pm at First Presbyterian Church, 136 Capitol Avenue, Hartford.
