Ayantu Abdissa is a student at Hartford International University for Religion and Peace pursuing a Master of Arts in International Peace building and is a newly assigned intern at First Presbyterian Church of Hartford. She has served in various faith-based and secular mission-driven organizations in Ethiopia. She has led and supervised diverse teams while spearheading strategic initiatives aimed at addressing systemic injustices, structural barriers, and cultural norms that hinder gender equality. Her work is driven by a strong commitment to fostering inclusive environments and advancing gender equity. She collaborates closely with local communities to design strategic policies, facilitate community-building initiatives, and transform conflict through sustainable, locally led solutions.
